Personal commentary:

I think paying teachers what they are worth is definately a good idea. My wife works for Alpine District, so I may be biased, but I see like no one else just how hard she works. She often gets up at 5am and works clear until 9-10pm until she literally drops off to sleep from exhaustion, sometimes only taking breaks for meals.

It was interesting to look at the comments left on the article at the Deseret News site, questioning if there will be any follow up on the meeting. I hope there will be, but I'm well aware that one PR tactic that some people/organizations use is to openly talk with people just to make them feel better, that change is in the wind. I hope this scenario doesn't just turn out to be a bunch of hot air . . .
