Last night marked the opening of steel days with a performance by the American Fork Symphony. They presented a fun concert that was ably handled (with exception of a wandering principle brass player). My favorite work they performed was a standard by Copland, but they also did a fine job with a suite from Phantom of the Opera.
Today the art show and the quilt show open, two of my favorite events to visit. Besides the usual carnival there are some added events including a craft fair. Anyway it all ends Saturday with The Big Show, so visit the Steel Days website and pick a few things to do: http://www.afsteeldays.com/
